Alina Puente is a graduate from Columbia College Chicago with a B.F.A degree in Fashion Design. Her journey in the arts began a long way from what she now calls home. Born in the Dominican Republic, Alina fuses her Latin roots with her American environment in order to create thought provoking art that challenges societal ideals, racial issues, and culture. Growing up, she was involved in an array of visual and performing arts. Her training in dance eventually gave her the desire to experiment with movement and the human figure - elements she includes in all aspects of design. An aesthetic that plays to the rhythm of the human form and line.
